KidsandBibs Topsites FAQ
|
The KidsandBibs Topsites Competition is a
way for parents and grandparents and friends to share (and show off) the
special babies and toddlers in their life and then be awarded by votes
from their
site. The competition is ongoing and the votes will be reset to zero
every 2 months to keep the rankings changing.
The list resets periodically throughout the day. You need to refresh
the screen to see updates.
Listings:
Votes IN are the number of votes the site currently has. This number
increases with clicks to the link given to each site when they
joined the list. The vote must be coming in from the child's site
to the list
be counted.
Votes OUT are the number of times a viewer of the KidsandBibs
Topsites has clicked on a site on the list, and left the list to view
it.
New sites are noted by for the 1st four days they're in the competition.
Voting:
You will be emailed
a special html code to add to your site which includes a voting button
image. If you'd like to choose a different button, we have several
choices
here.
Each IP address can vote ONE time site per site, per day. Any more
votes from that IP address will not be counted.
It is considered cheating for a user to vote multiple times for
their site, even if the votes are not counted.
The votes should be from people visiting
and enjoying your site.
Any AUTOMATIC voting script or program is not allowed. Sites who
attempt to gain votes this way will be asked to remove the
script and put on
inactive status if they don't comply.
Verification:
All sites must be approved by our staff before being
added to the list. We reserve the right to remove sites that are inappropriate for
the list or if the URL is bad or for any reason at our discretion.
Banners:
The link to your banner must be a direct link to a .jpg or .gif. A
link to the page it is on will not work. For example, a link should look
like
this:
http://www.yoursite.com/images/banner.jpg
Banners must be no larger than 468 x 60.
Only the top 20 sites will have their banner shown.
